Cody Gakpo: COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT IN TOGO
Togo holds a deeply personal significance for Cody. It is his father’s homeland and a place he has maintained a longstanding connection with through family, culture and community.
During his 2025 visit, Cody distributed food and Liverpool shirts to children, spent time with local communities and celebrated his Togolese heritage. His continued visits reflect a commitment to remaining connected to where his family comes from and using his position in football to contribute to communities with which he shares a personal connection.

Ambassador
Cody serves as an ambassador for Spieren voor Spieren, a Dutch charity dedicated to improving the lives of children living with muscle diseases.
Through the partnership, he uses his platform to raise awareness of the charity’s work and support its efforts to help children and their families, reflecting his belief in using the reach of football beyond the game to bring greater visibility to a cause he is committed to supporting.
Reiss Nelson:
ASTROTURF PITCH AT HIS FORMER PRIMARY SCHOOL
Lovemore Sports supported Reiss Nelson in fulfilling a longstanding ambition to give something back to the community where his own journey in football began.
Reiss personally funded a new 4G astroturf pitch at his former primary school in South London, replacing the surface he played on as a child with a modern facility for pupils and the wider school community. For Reiss, it was an opportunity to return to where his story started and create something tangible for the children following behind him.
